| Note on the Past Subjunctive se Forms |
The -se forms that appear in the imperfect and pluperfect subjunctive conjugations are identical in meaning and function to the -ra forms, and are still in some use. The -ra forms are by far the more common of the two. The -se forms are therefore best regarded as for recognition only. These forms are derived by simply replacing -ra with -se in all forms of these conjugations. |
