About the Author:

Paul Alessi (Ph. D. University of Missouri, Columbia) is Professor Emeritus of Classics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has published on the poet Propertius, and his research and interests are with Augustan literature, Roman culture and Etruscan archaeology. He authored both Golden Prose in the Age of Augustus and Golden Verses: Poetry in the Augustan Age for Focus Publishing.
